Celestial Seas

mixed media canvas assembled by Angela McMullen
Celestial Seas
waves shudder in shallow seabeds,
and a thousand endless mornings weep.
bittersweet clouds dissolve platinum skies,
as timeless whispers seep through forever.
you entered my soul through celestial seas,
of time-warped galaxies and sand-carpeted deserts.
the aroma of your essence lingers,
as evening prose serenades restlessness.
waterfalls spray granite with wetness,
as we bathe in moonbeams.
turtles frolic in babbling creeks;
their arms splashing at mirrored reflections.
drums pound in syncopation to eternity
as we soar on wings of hopefulness.
through valleys of sweet grass,
we dance to willow melodies.
and as time reverts to reality,
tears stream down disillusioned faces.

Angela McMullen is a freelance writer who lives and writes in maritime Nova Scotia, where she is inspired by the rhythm of the Bay of Fundy tides, the pulse of long-standing forests, the expansive fields of the Annapolis Valley, the backdrop of North and South mountain ranges, and the distinction of the four seasons. www.forestwriting.com
Angela's most recent work is a slim book of poetry that captures the pure essence of nature and her unwavering resilience. Infused with undertones of Italian influence, this collection of poetry speaks for itself.
